Whether your event is all day, a full weekend, a few hours or a private party, Johnny can create a bespoke service to suit the needs of your event.

He performs a combination of music from the 1940s period, from the jive sounds of Glenn Miller to the sentiments parted by Vera Lynn, to the daft, may I say silly songs of the war, such as Kiss me Goodnight Sgnt Major.

As an experienced entertainer in the 1940s scene of some 10 years, Johnny is flexible to the changing demands of your event and can adapt his repertoire as required and can act as 1940s DJ, playing period music to fill extra periods of time.

If a total presence is required, such as at the many full day events across the country, Johnny is happy to meet and greet your guests/visitors, make announcements and has made so many great friends in the 1940s scene this way.

Based in Derbyshire, the heart of England, Johnny is in the perfect location to travel to your event, wherever it may be. He accepts nationwide engagements and can’t wait to hear from you.

Johnny is negotiable regarding the fee he charges for his performances. He provides a very competitive fee, based on the location, duration and budget of the event. To get a quote, contact him directly via phone or email on the details on the contact page.

Johnny Is Equity Registered and you will receive a professional service   from him.

Johnny Has always had his foot in the world of entertainment. From the childhood days of staging pantomimes under the stairs to appearing in school productions.

He studied Theatre Studies, where he took part in many plays, even playing Macbeth.

Since leaving education he undertook tuition in Classical singing, and was part of an Opera chorus singing all over the country.

Johnny has also appeared on the silver screen as a Background Artist; his favourite being in The Duchess, with Kiera Knightley.

Having an interest in the 1940s brought him to his next involvement in music and theatre, having been asked to develop a wartime ENSA show for a local museum event and the rest is history……..

Johnny has also been a member of a number of local theatre groups, performing many Musical Shows.

Johnny is also available for non-1940s work, including other genres of song and dance, (musical theatre, classical) film and TV work and modelling. Please see ‘Other ’ page.

Johnny has been working for the last couple of years with a local museum, providing WWII sessions for KS1/2 students.

Providing a session combining dance, song and an air-raid scenario, Johnny pulls on his theatrical experience to deliver a fun session to inform the students about the pastimes, music and feelings associated with the wartime period.

Working as a standalone session or part of a combination, Johnny can deliver an engaging lesson in the Wartime spirit.

Johnny can be hired to work in the school environment or museums etc….

No equipment is required as Johnny comes with his own PA System, PAT tested.
